About the Cave Man Law bLAWg

While I have tirelessly aspired to the caveman lawyer image, I realize that, unfortunately, I do not quite live up to the “Caveman Lawyer” from SNL. Clearly, I can’t contend with his advanced level of legal scholarship, the pronounced forehead and protruding orbital portion of his thick skull. With great deference to the man, I mean Neanderthal man, Caveman Law bLAWg was created to express a deep interest in THE LAW. After only two decades plus of Cro Magnan-like lawyering, my goal with Caveman Law bLAWg is to share my primitive opinions and dramatic personal legal experiences with the evolved community at large. With my prehistoric weaponry and Westlaw references, I hope you will find the information useful in your own battles with bloodsuckers, neo-capitalistic Homosapien tools and downpressors generally.

lawsuits

when a lawsuit is filed or when notice of an imminent lawsuit is transmitted to the proposed defendant, the defendant is well advised to make every effort possible to resolve the matter early on. assuming the case is legitimate (nothing other than a legitimate case should be considered), then the best result for the defendant will be achieved through early settlement. the downside only exists for defense counsel who will receive less money in attorneys’ fees from an early settlement.

you can’t steal an idea according to US copyright law, but you still might be a scum bag for doing so

Only expressions of ideas can be copywritten and not just generic ideas of an expression.  Get concrete, get specific, document and register with the Kremlin – I mean the U.S. copyright office in Moscow.  Even if you are sexy in an Indian headdress and you come up with an idea, frennemies can still take it from you, cut you out and go on their merry morally bankrupt way.
